I’ve had one of those weeks where I just didn’t feel great — headaches, a sore throat, and that general “off” feeling that makes everything a bit heavier than usual. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and give my body a proper reset.
Each morning, I started my day with a green juice that became my little ritual. Into the blender went kiwi fruit, ginger, turmeric, a pinch of black pepper, celery, cucumber, parsley, mint, and a whole lemon — skin and all — blended smooth. I’d add my Shibooi Complete Collagen for that daily protein and skin support, sometimes mixed straight in, sometimes with an extra vitamin C tablet for a proper immune boost. Then I’d throw in a banana, pear, and a handful of nuts and seeds — almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and hemp seeds — to make it a filling breakfast that actually carried me through the morning.
For lunch and dinner, I kept things clean and colourful. Lots of spinach and broccoli, with different legumes and grains — lentils, mung beans, quinoa — depending on the night. I added beetroot and a drizzle of olive oil for that earthy sweetness and good fats my body loves.
After a few days of eating this way, I could really feel the difference — more energy, less foggy, and just more me again. It reminded me how powerful small changes can be when you give your body what it’s craving — real, fresh, nourishing food and a bit of consistency.
Sometimes we forget how good we can actually feel when we look after ourselves properly. This little reset was exactly what I needed — a reminder that wellness doesn’t have to be complicated. Just a bit of intention, a few good ingredients, and showing up for yourself every day.
